How good and how pleasant it is, when kindred live in unity! (Ps 133)
Live the present with passion, looking at the past with gratitude, to embrace the future with hope.
Life of the religious is filled with surprises; within the community, in the apostolate, in spiritual and personal life.... nevertheless, they always present themselves as experts of communion, witness and architects of the plan of unity which the crowning point of human history in God’s design. In a polarized society, where different cultures experience difficulty in living along side one another, where powerless encounter oppression, where inequality abounds, religious make a concrete model of community, spreading a positive vibration by acknowledging the dignity of each person and sharing our respective gifts.
While continuing to focus on our ministries to meet the needs of the Church, time and again it is very positive to have a short break from the schedule to reinforce our energy. Our provincial Council thought about it and we had a wonderful two days time of energy boosting session which sharpened the sword in the fire of the spirit.
Retrospection to the past fills our hearts with gratitude. The extraordinary sessions of the batch gathering, gave us an opportunity to look at our past with thankfulness, wonder and a renewed energy which had the sturdy foundation set up on faith that the God of the Scripture is the person in charge of our missionary journey, who walks with us, crashes the walls, crosses the mountains and He makes even a tent of repose amidst our enemies. On 18th and 19th of February 2023, all the sisters professed between 1967 and 1984 gathered in provincial house, expecting an encounter with a usual package. But our provincial Council surprised us with their organizational skills by motivating and inspiring sessions, building up our enthusiasm and boosting the drooping spirit with sessions of reinforcement, challenging and entertaining through fun and frisk.
These two days meeting started with an hour of adoration, thanking the Lord for the gift of our vocation. The sisters got enough time to spend in front of the Eucharistic Lord, thanking the author of our life for using our poor talents and abilities for His greater glory. By means of these simple clay pots many came to know the Lord and the Saviour of this beautiful world.
The rest of the day was overflowing with mind bloggers to know the Congregation, the church and the world in which we live that gave us a brushing up of general knowledge, but created an atmosphere of fun, wisdom, creativity in simplicity, joy and laughter in abundance.
On 19th Rev. Fr. Louis OFM Conv. through an input session, gave us a panoramic outlook of this cosmos and the place of human being in this fabulous and mysterious world. From the abyss of his knowledge, he inscrolled the universal truth that God in His unfathomable love, formed this universe and entrusted it to man, who is created in the image and likeness of God. Sharing the same brotherhood with other created being, man has to rear and cherish it, moreover he has to make others to love God because we are the aroma of Christ. When we experience the height, depth, length and width of God’s love we will be able to embrace everyone with the heart of God, without minding the differences cast colour, culture but with an attitude of joy and happiness in unveiling our other self in every created being like St. Francis of Assisi.
We thank our Provincial Superior and her collaborators for this wonderful days of reinforcement session that rekindled our mind and replenished our consecrated life, which will help us to spare the rest of our life to proclaim this universal truth to many more people who live in darkness.
